Own-brand collections, recognised licensed brands and bespoke products for major retailers. This is a Product Development role with genuine variety.

This is a hands-on product development role where you’ll get the chance to work with some of the biggest names in UK homeware.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Have a genuine creative influence – You won’t simply be processing briefs. You’ll have the chance to research trends, recommend new ideas and help shape future collections.
  • Autonomy & Influence – You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be trusted to, make decisions, and bring your ideas to life.
  • A Growing SME That Values Expertise – No red tape, no being “just a number.” Your experience will make a visible difference.
  • See your products in major retailers – Develop ranges sold through some of the UK’s biggest online and bricks-and-mortar retailers, including Dunelm, Next and Argos.
  • Creative Partnerships – Get involved with exciting designer and influencer collaborations in a dynamic, fast-moving category.

As Product Development Manager, You’ll manage new products from the initial commercial or creative brief through design, sampling, costing and approval, into a production-ready specification. Working across the annual own-brand collection, seasonal licensed ranges and bespoke retailer projects, you’ll brief designers and overseas suppliers, coordinate artwork and samples, manage costs and revisions, and keep each development on schedule.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience developing consumer products from initial concept through to production, ideally within textiles, flooring, interiors or homeware.
  • Experience working directly with overseas suppliers on sampling, specifications, costing and production requirements.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple developments while working confidently with suppliers, designers, licensors and internal teams.
  • Experience of licensed or third-party brand guidelines would be a strong advantage, while the ability to review or adjust CADs and artwork would also be useful.

Other Info

  • Salary up to £50,000, depending on experience.
  • Working hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00.
  • Hybrid working, with three days per week based at the Stoke-on-Trent office. Four office-based days would be preferred.
  • Opportunities to attend trade shows and visit international suppliers.
  • Discount on company products.
  • Long-term development and progression within a growing, independently owned business.
