We’re looking for a Junior IT Technician to join a well-established professional services business and support colleagues across two local sites. This is a stable, people-first organisation with a reputation for looking after its team — friendly culture, low turnover, and a place where your contribution is noticed. If you’re at your happiest helping people, solving problems, and learning how things work behind the scenes, this is a brilliant opportunity to start (or build) a career in IT. You don’t need to know everything already — you’ll be supported, trained, and given the chance to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reporting to the IT Manager, you’ll help provide day-to-day IT support, keeping downtime low and making technology feel straightforward for everyone else.
- You’ll be supporting around 50 users across two nearby sites, with guidance from a supportive IT Manager and an external IT support partner.
- You’ll learn how the IT function runs day-to-day — from logging and resolving tickets to setting up equipment, supporting meetings, and helping colleagues get the most out of Microsoft 365.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-line support for PCs/laptops, printers, email, Microsoft 365, Teams/telephony and Wi-Fi
- Logging and managing support tickets, escalating where needed
- Setting up laptops, user accounts and equipment for new starters
- Supporting meeting room equipment and helping with basic AV/Teams setups
- Helping colleagues with “how do I…” questions and offering clear, friendly guidance
- Assisting with security and compliance processes as part of everyday IT
- Supporting improvements and small projects as you build confidence and experience
- Learning key business software (including SOS and Redbrack) and helping users follow good practice
What we’re looking for:
- This role suits someone practical, curious, and reliable — comfortable speaking to people, happy to be visible around the office, and keen to learn.
- You might be a graduate, someone who’s completed an IT course, or someone with some hands-on experience looking for their next step.
You’ll need:
- A full driving licence and willingness to travel between the two offices
- Some experience in IT support, troubleshooting, or customer service
- A genuine interest in IT and a desire to build a long-term career
- A helpful, customer-focused approach — you enjoy supporting others
- Good communication skills — patient, clear, and willing to ask questions
Role details:
- Salary: up to ÂŁ28,000 (depending on experience)
- Location: Stafford (supporting two local sites)
- Hours: 9:00–17:00, Mon–Fri (flexibility on start/finish times where needed)
- Holiday: 34 days including bank holidays, plus Christmas shutdown, a birthday day off (in your birthday month), and a service day
