We are looking for an experienced, hands-on and commercially aware F&B Manager to lead the food and beverage operation within a busy North Leeds hotel. Key Skills & Experience
- Previous Food & Beverage Management experience within a hotel environment
- Experience managing restaurant, bar and function operations
- Strong understanding of GP control, menu engineering and stock management
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
- Commercial awareness with a proactive approach to upselling and revenue growth
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure
- Experience managing rotas, staffing levels and payroll budgets

Main Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of all food and beverage outlets including restaurant, bar and functions
- Lead, motivate and support the F&B team to deliver excellent guest experiences
- Drive sales, maximise revenue opportunities and support profitability targets
- Monitor departmental costs, stock levels, wastage and payroll expenditure
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, food hygiene regulations and health & safety standards
- Manage guest feedback and complaints effectively to ensure positive outcomes
- Conduct regular team briefings and F&B meetings
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management within the department
- Work closely with Kitchen, Events and senior management teams
- Ensure all shift handovers and operational checklists are completed correctly
- Monitor local competition and market trends to ensure the hotel remains competitive
- Support Duty Manager responsibilities when required
- Ensure rotas are completed and staffing levels reflect business needs
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service throughout all outlets
- Complete departmental reports and administrative duties as required
People Management
- Take accountability for the performance and development of the F&B team
- Act as a role model for professionalism, service standards and company values
- Identify training needs and support continuous development within the team
- Maintain strong communication across all departments
- Promote a positive team culture and collaborative working environment
- Support employee wellbeing, attendance and performance management procedures
- Take a flexible approach to supporting wider hotel operations when required
Quality & Guest Experience
- Ensure guests consistently receive an exceptional level of service
- Monitor guest feedback and implement improvements where necessary
- Maintain a safe, clean and secure working environment
- Ensure all food and beverage standards are maintained across the department
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and retention
Financial & Commercial Responsibilities
- Manage departmental budgets and control expenditure effectively
- Monitor payroll against budgeted targets
- Support cost-saving initiatives and minimise wastage where possible
- Maintain accurate stock control procedures
- Drive upselling opportunities and promote all hotel services confidently
- Maintain a strong understanding of financial performance, P&Ls and profitability
General Responsibilities
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Attend management meetings and contribute positively to business discussions
- Work collaboratively with colleagues from all departments
- Carry out additional duties appropriate to the level of the role when required
