Finance Manager 4 days a week – Office based Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays. WFH – Friday Salary circa £50k HQ – Harrogate The role Provide an accounting support function . Currently 80% of our business is historical customers and supplier on repeat. This could change but for now work on this basis. We are a low volume large invoice value operation ; our 2 biggest customers are on rolling contracts- makes life easy Key measurement matrix: * Debtor Collection time * Stock management – rotate , losses , obsolescence * Cash flow management * Creditors – manage supplier expectations * Banking relations i * Credit rating providers manage relationship * Be familiar with tax and other legislative changes affecting the business or directors * Support trading/sales in NBD – Costings planning etc Job description * Annual statutory accounts preparation and management of annual audits * Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts * Submitting quarterly VAT returns * Carrying out bank reconciliations- * Maintaining & updating fixed asset records * Managing ledgers * Producing budgets and forecasts * Negotiation and administration of company insurances and pensions * Managing cash flow and bank balances * Dealing with Companies House and National Statistics returns * Providing cover for the Accounts Administrator duties, including payroll and purchase ledger administration * Providing general financial advice to the Managing Director, Shareholders and Managers * Manage the changing business environment- e.g. Brexit – customs regulation etc Person Specification Typical qualities of a Company Accountant may include: * Familiar with Accounting software such as SAGE * Qualified by experience or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification * Able to communicate confidently with business owner / managers and external stakeholders Please get in touch with Justine at Logic Recruiting
