Looking to kickstart your IT career with a leading global consultancy? We're recruiting for an IT Helpdesk Officer to join a busy Global IT team on an initial 3-month contract based in Bath. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting thousands of users across an international business while developing your technical skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
As part of the IT Helpdesk team, you'll provide 1st Line technical support, helping to resolve a wide range of IT issues and ensuring users receive an excellent level of service. This is a varied role where you'll gain exposure to enterprise technologies and build valuable experience within a fast-paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st Line IT support via phone, email and remote support tools
- Log, prioritise and resolve helpdesk tickets within agreed SLAs
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows and software-related issues
- Escalate more complex technical issues where required
- Deliver exceptional customer service to users across the business
- Support the day-to-day operation of the IT Helpdesk
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about IT and enjoys solving problems. You'll ideally have:
- Previous IT Helpdesk, Service Desk or IT Support experience (or a relevant IT qualification with strong customer service experience)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Desirable Skills
- Active Directory or Exchange Online
- SharePoint or OneDrive
- ITIL awareness
- Microsoft 365 Defender exposure
