We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bodyshop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clientβs workshop. You will lead a skilled team of technicians and administrative staff, ensuring the smooth running of the workshop while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the workshop, including scheduling, task allocation, and productivity monitoring
- Lead, coach, and motivate the workshop team to achieve performance targets and quality standards
- Oversee vehicle repair processes, ensuring compliance with manufacturer guidelines and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate reporting on workshop throughput, KPIs, and performance
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, suppliers, and customers
- Oversee stock, parts ordering, and supplier negotiations to optimise costs and availability
- Drive continuous improvement, implementing new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and service delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience as a Bodyshop Manager within the automotive repair industry
- Strong technical background with recognised qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, ATA or equivalent) desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a multi-skilled team
- Experience with estimating systems and workshop management software
- Full UK / EU driving licence required
