A reputable Bodyshop is currently seeking an experienced spray painter for professional painting of vehicle accident damage bodywork and parts. The ideal candidate must have worked in the motor industry, be able to produce a high-quality finish and be able to work on their own initiative. The successful candidate should have experience within this type of work and be able to produce a good finish at all times. Must have an understanding of industry standards and safe working practices. Knowledge with water based paints are essential.
You will work in a body repair workshop and your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Dealing with painting equipment
- Sanding down and preparing the bodyworks
- Selecting, matching and mixing colours
- Applying primer coats, main coats and finishes
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment
- Preparing vehicles to be painted
- Touching up paintwork and applying polish to vehicles
- Removing masking papers before waxing and polishing finished paintwork
- Working in a spray booth to ensure paint is confined to the specific areas
Requirements:
- Comfortable in a painting environment
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and organised
- Keen to support others and a cooperative team player
- Able to complete work from start to finish within the time frame given
- Customer focused and team oriented
- Housekeeping of area must be kept clean
Working hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Holidays: 29 days per year
