Overview

We have an opportunity for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join our team, with positions available in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Station/Check Manager or Maintenance Supervisor in prioritising, organising, and completing the maintenance workload effectively to minimising delays and disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with the Station/Check Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, LMC and the OCC staff on the maintenance status of aircraft and whenever that position changes.
  • Performs defect investigation and scheduled maintenance in a safe and cost-effective manner and in compliance with the relevant approved maintenance data, organisational procedures, national authority requirements and are aware of their responsibilities both to Loganair, Form 1004 – Terms of Maintenance Authorisation and as Type Rated/Authorised Personnel in relation to CAP 562 – CAAIP’s, Leaflet H20.
  • Debrief flying staff with regards to defects and to ensure that this information is passed to LMC and the Station/Check Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Carry out the support functions necessary to maintain aircraft availability to ensure the flying schedule remains on target.
  • Responsible for the conduct and performance of staff under their supervision
  • Supervise tasks as and when required by the nature of the task and manpower available.
  • Support the company operation when required at other locations.
  • Communicate with fleet technical service engineers in matters of reliability, defect analysis and defect investigation using appropriate channels.
  • Communicate with the Station/Check Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on all matters regarding the efficient operation of the maintenance task including matters of Health and Safety and highlighting any shortfalls and improvements.
  • Completion of work packs, tech logs and documentation are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in the promotion a ‘Continuous Improvement’ culture.

Training and Experience

  • Formal engineering technical qualification
  • UK Part 66 licence with appropriate type ratings
