A part-time vacancy has arisen within the Customer Services, based in Kirkwall. Reporting to the Station Manager Kirkwall, the successful candidate will be proactive, helpful to passengers and dedicated to providing a robust and safe operation. Applications are invited from candidates who provide excellent customer service and support for the delivery of our operation at Kirkwall Airport.

Responsibilities

  • Checking passengers in for flights
  • Ensuring security protocols are adhered to
  • Answer passenger queries when flights have been cancelled/delayed
  • Arrange alternative transport/accommodation as required and
  • Baggage handling
  • Driving baggage vehicles and other ground service equipment.

Skills

  • Be customer focused and helpful. Enjoy working with the public and meeting new people.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to respond quickly and efficiently to changing situations.
  • Be able to deal with difficult situations and under pressure.
  • Driving license essential due

The role is varied involving indoor and outside working, in all weathers. A shift pattern is worked by the team to support the 7 day a week operation
