We are seeking a CAD Technician to support our engineering team with technical drawings and models using SolidWorks. This is an entry-to-intermediate level role focused on drawing production and documentation, working under the direction of senior engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Produce and update 2D drawings and 3D models from sketches, instructions, or existing designs
  • Maintain and organise the drawing register, ensuring revisions are logged and accessible
  • Apply company drawing standards and title block conventions consistently
  • Assist engineers with basic design changes and minor tooling drawings
  • Support creation of simple plant/layout drawings under supervision
  • Prepare drawing packs and documentation for internal reviews
  • Check drawings for basic errors, dimensioning, and completeness before issue
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks (or similar with a willingness to learn)
  • HNC/HND in engineering or equivalent practical experience; graduates or apprentices welcome
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawing standards (BS 8888 or similar)
  • Able to work well within a small team and follow direction from senior engineers

Teeside Based
