The predicted salary is between 42750 - 52250 Β£ per year.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join our offshore product market group. As an Electrical Technician you will:

  • Inspect, assemble, test and pre-commission assemblies and sub-assemblies and installations as required to meet project delivery.
  • Liaise with the Senior Electrical Construction Engineer and relevant project contacts as necessary.
  • Check parts for assembly are available from stores and identify any shortages.
  • Review tooling requirements for specific project(s).
  • Carry out electrical installation, repair and maintenance works for workshop and offices.
  • Ensure correct certification in place for electrical testing prior to undertaking works.
  • Carry out pre-commissioning checks in accordance with approved documents and correct supervision.
  • Be responsible for specific build and test documentation (for project) and hand over to Senior Electrical Construction Engineer.
  • Work with Senior Electrical Construction Engineer or Electrical Design Engineer to fault find/trouble shoot problems with assembled equipment (Control Panels, JBs etc).
  • Review progress for assembly work scopes on a weekly basis with the Senior Electrical Construction Engineer, highlighting areas of concern.
  • Identify and raise with Senior Electrical Construction Engineer workshop hazards and precautions on specific project activities.
  • Review specific electrical/assembly drawings with Senior Electrical Construction Engineer and discuss and agree any changes required.
  • Identify and raise with Supervisor risk assessment (workshop hazards and precautions) for specific activities.
  • May be required to travel and work nationally and internationally as required to meet the needs of the business, including offshore works.
  • Be certified to operate workshop plant and machinery.
  • Have a working knowledge of the current building and electrical regulations.
  • Have experience in a heavy engineering environment.
  • Have skills in electrical installation and electrical testing.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Maintain a flexible approach in order to work shifts as required to meet project deadlines.
