Role Description
The Director, Product Marketing will be a key contributor to the organization, leading product marketing and creating compelling messaging, positioning, pricing, and packaging to communicate the value and differentiation of Loftware’s products to our target customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation:
- Be the subject matter expert. Develop content to be used by Marketing and Sales for product promotion.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure that value propositions, marketing assets, use case/customer case studies, battle cards, presentations, and demos are available, understood, and used to engage prospects and advance the sales process.
- Product Launches:
- Work across company functions to help design, plan, and execute product launches that achieve market awareness and customer adoption.
- Understand our competitors’ products and offers. Use this knowledge to inform sales training, positioning, messaging, and input to new product development.
- Be the voice of the customer. Be the expert on the target market, the target buyer, and the buying process.
- Pricing and Packaging:
- Analyze market trends, adjust pricing as needed, and conduct competitive pricing analysis. Use this information to align pricing strategies with business goals and customer needs.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team, including product marketers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the department.
- Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to keep the team skilled in product marketing trends and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years in Product Marketing or related roles supporting a SaaS product.
- Experience managing product marketing teams and globally dispersed stakeholder groups.
- Ability to set annual and quarterly plans and prioritize team projects and workload.
- Demonstrated ability to understand commercial, technological, and strategic drivers to influence multi-year strategy.
- Ability to establish a broad vision and take ideas from concept through to completion.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal skills. Strong public speaker, comfortable with technical and senior audiences.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, achievable business benefits.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a high attention to detail.
