Location: Loft NR1 Nightclub, Norwich
Loft NR1 – one of Norwich’s leading late-night venues – is looking for a confident and capable Supervisor to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in nightlife or hospitality, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to keep things running smoothly. Whether supporting the bar, overseeing the floor, or assisting with general operations, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, seamless, and unforgettable nights.
About the Role:
As a Supervisor, you’ll support the management team across all areas of the club. From coordinating staff and maintaining high standards, to stepping in as Duty Manager when required, this role is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their late-night venue career. You will also assist with the planning and delivery of events, working alongside management to help organise entertainment, theme nights, and promotional activities that enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the smooth running of the venue during operating hours
- Supervise and assist staff across all departments (bar, floor, door)
- Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and customer care
- Respond to and manage customer concerns or incidents professionally
- Uphold all licensing, safety, and security procedures
- Assist with opening/closing duties, including end-of-night checks and reporting
- From time to time, act as Duty Manager, overseeing the full operation of the venue during your shift
- Assist in planning and coordinating events and promotions, ensuring smooth delivery and strong team involvement
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous supervisory or senior experience in a nightclub, bar, or hospitality setting
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Calm under pressure and confident in decision-making
- A team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude
- A solid understanding of licensing laws and health & safety procedures
- A personal licence is desirable
- Must be available to work Thursday to Saturday, including late nights (until 6am)
