We’re looking for an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a complex existing building project in central London.
The project
This is a major, high profile project to transform a significant existing building in central London. The design phase is nearly finished, and the project is getting ready to move into technical design and construction (RIBA Stages 4 and 5). The practice now needs a construction focused leader to take it through to completion.
The role
- Lead delivery through RIBA Stages 4 and 5, from technical design and tender to completion on site.
- Report directly to the practice leadership.
- Oversee 3 to 4 directors, each responsible for their own part of the project, and a team of around 20.
- Own programme, contracts and the client relationship.
- Work closely with contractors, holding them to account and keeping the project on track.
About you
- Around 20 years of experience, from a construction architecture background rather than purely design.
- A record of delivering large, complex projects at construction stage, ideally involving existing buildings.
- The gravitas to lead experienced directors and build trust with clients and contractors.
Salary around £125,000 plus benefits.
Why apply
- You’d lead one of the most significant existing building projects in London.
- It’s a senior seat with direct access to the top of the practice.
- There’s an established team in place, ready for strong leadership.
