If you are a technically focused Architect who enjoys getting into the detail and wants that to be recognised as a key strength, this role offers something a bit different. You will step into a senior or associate level position within a respected AJ100 practice where technical delivery is central to how projects are shaped and realised. It is a strong move for someone who feels they have plateaued and is looking for clearer progression and more influence. The salary sits between £55,000 and £65,000, with flexibility for the right person, alongside hybrid working and a genuinely flexible culture built around trust rather than presenteeism. You will be part of a studio where people are approachable, collaborative and supportive, with a real emphasis on long term development rather than short term pressure.
You will take a leading role on the technical delivery of commercial and mixed use projects across London, bringing a high level of rigour to detailing, coordination and buildability. This includes working across façade design, roof build ups, technical packages and ensuring projects are resolved clearly through later stages. You will be confident producing NBS specifications and coordinating closely with MEP and structural engineers to deliver well considered, buildable solutions. The role suits someone who enjoys being hands on but also stepping back to guide projects and teams when needed. You will move across multiple projects, supporting key stages while also running your own work, bringing a well rounded understanding of both new build and existing buildings.
You will be joining a well established London based AJ100 practice in London, known for delivering thoughtful commercial, residential and regeneration projects. The studio has a friendly and down to earth culture where people work closely together and there is a genuine sense of team. Structured as an employee ownership trust, the practice encourages a shared investment in its work and future. Compared to larger studios, it offers more visibility, more variety and a chance to have a real impact, making it an ideal environment for someone looking to grow into a senior leadership role without losing the hands on side of architecture.
