Overview

Job Title: Field Retail and Training Manager

Reports to: Senior Commercial Manager

Location: London based with travel

The Field Retail and Training Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, ensuring exceptional client experiences, and strengthening the brand’s presence in the UK luxury market. This role combines commercial leadership with a strong focus on people development and training. The successful candidate will inspire high-performing retail teams, build strong partnerships with retail stakeholders, and deliver impactful training that elevates brand knowledge and client engagement. This is a field-based role initially covering UK and France that requires travel up to 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Commercial Manager to set yearly targets for each POS
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve & exceed national sales targets.
  • Monitor performance, analyse market trends, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and execute a total business sales and training strategy, as well as tailored per-location strategies.
  • Act as a key figure in establishing and strengthening the brand with UK retailer managers
  • Lead, inspire, and develop store managers and retail teams to deliver excellence in client experience, selling, operations, and visual merchandising.
  • Adapt leadership and coaching styles to suit varying levels of team experience.
  • Champion a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture aligned with brand values.
  • Inspire teams with drive, tenacity, and ambition to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Build a robust internal talent pipeline through succession planning and development.

Training & Development

  • Deliver and oversee training programs, including brand inductions, product launches, customer journey, and advanced selling techniques.
  • Conduct training across formats — from one-to-one sessions to large group workshops.
  • Partner with retail management to ensure consistent standards of excellence across all stores.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and innovation.

Brand & Client Experience

  • Ensure delivery of an exceptional luxury client experience across all retail locations.
  • Support and oversee exclusive brand events and activations.
  • Champion initiatives that drive client development and enhance brand positioning.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an established Area or Regional Manager within the luxury retail sector.
  • Proven track record in successfully opening boutiques or leading market entry initiatives.
  • Commercially astute, results-driven, and operationally hands-on.
  • Demonstrated success in remote team management.
  • Strong experience delivering training at all levels, from individual coaching to large-scale workshops.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth understanding of the niche perfume and luxury retail market.
  • Additional language(s) preferred (French, Italian, Spanish)
