Job Summary
The Site Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all security operations at assigned Boots sites, ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, equipment, and property. This role supervises security staff, enforces company policies, and maintains a secure working environment through proactive risk management and strong leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of retail security officers and loss prevention staff.
- Monitor store entrances/exits, access control points, and CCTV surveillance systems.
- Implement and enforce retail security and loss prevention procedures.
- Conduct regular patrols of the sales floor, stockrooms, and surrounding premises.
- Respond to incidents including shoplifting, disturbances, emergencies, and safety hazards.
- Investigate theft, internal shrinkage, and security breaches; prepare detailed incident reports.
- Collaborate with store management to address security risks and operational concerns.
- Train and mentor security staff on customer service, de-escalation techniques, and retail protocols.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local regulations.
- Assist with inventory protection strategies and risk assessments.
- Prepare duty roster, performance evaluations, and security reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of security experience, preferably in a retail environment.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
- Valid SIA License.
- Valid CCTV License (preferred but not essential).
- Good knowledge of retail loss prevention practices and CCTV systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency in report writing and basic computer systems.
- Availability to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
