Job Summary: The Retail Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing security personnel, ensuring the safety of customers and staff, preventing theft and loss, and maintaining compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage on-site security officers
- Develop and implement security procedures and protocols
- Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular security audits
- Prevent and respond to theft, fraud, and other incidents
- Liaise with store management, law enforcement, and external agencies
- Conduct investigations into incidents, losses, or breaches
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and legal standards
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
- Prepare reports on security incidents, risks, and improvements
- Maintain access control and emergency response procedures
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in security management, preferably in retail
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies
- Familiarity with CCTV and security systems
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- SIA & CCTV licence
