Are you someone who enjoys proactively mitigating the risk of security incidents?

We are seeking an observant and efficient individual to join our CCTV Monitoring Centre as a CCTV operator.

This role is full time and on a variable shift pattern which could include weekends and some night shifts.

It will be based full time at the Boots Head Office in Nottingham.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • To handle alarms in an efficient and effective manner, understanding the root cause of the alarm, deterring incidents in the moment, and providing a concise accurate written summary after the incident.
  • To contact emergency services promptly if a serious incident has been observed that requires emergency services assistance.
  • To ensure CCTV footage requests and phone/email queries are handled in a professional, accurate, courteous, customer focussed, and timely manner.
  • To escalator serious incidents to monitoring centre leadership within agreed timelines.
  • To log any CCTV system faults identified with the maintenance helpdesk promptly.
  • To provide remote guidance and training to stores on CCTV systems.
  • Proactively monitor high risk stores that require additional attention.
  • To maintain the highest levels of system knowledge and functionality through use of SOP's to work within agreed KPI's.
  • In the absence of the CCTV Centre Manager, to deal with all complaints in a professional and timely manner and to send a written report to the CCTVManager (or his deputy) as soon as practicable.
  • To take reasonable care of yourself and others, to ensure nothing is misused in relation to Health and Safety and to report anything that is not safe.

Requirements

  • Must have a CCTV license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and procedures related to apprehension and detention.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.
