The predicted salary is between 14 - 16 £ per hour.

Reporting to: BID Manager/Area Manager

Payrate: from £14ph

The candidate will be required to step into Supervisor duties as and when required. Any candidates with previous Team Leader/Supervisor experience will be preferred. You must be flexible to work weekends and available to work at short notice. The selected candidate will be required to travel across the South of England covering various BID Sites; driving is essential.

Role Overview:

A dual role leading, developing and motivating a group of BID Wardens, to ensure our clients’ objectives are met, improving the capability and delivery of the BID team, whilst delivering as a BID Warden. To ensure teams are fully compliant with procedures in their BID areas and are fully trained to carry out their roles. Ensure all BID Wardens are using the Alert App and any other platforms to report all activity in their BID area. Where directed by Senior Management or Client Management, undertake tasks to support the area and business within a reasonable travel distance. This is a highly visible, public-facing role requiring stamina, adaptability, and a proactive attitude. You will be expected to lead by example and maintain a positive presence throughout your shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a visible, proactive, and reassuring presence in the BID area.
  • Engage with businesses to communicate the work of the BID and provide advice and guidance as necessary about crime or other issues.
  • Visit businesses regularly and maintain regular contact to offer reassurance and impart information.
  • Support the link between the BID and the area’s businesses.
  • Report public realm issues (broken street furniture, signs, litter, etc).
  • Identify, investigate, deter, and report on crime and anti-social behaviour in the area.
  • Take part in coordinated operations to specifically patrol problem areas.
  • Ensure appropriate information sharing with the right teams within key partners and agencies, including outreach services, local Police, Local Authorities, crime reduction agencies, etc.
  • Report on electronic platforms BID information KPIs.
  • Be a friendly face to locals and business owners.
  • Any other tasks given by Client/Lodge Management.

Person Specification & Requirements:

  • Valid SIA Licence & Driving License, with access to own vehicle.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge and the ability to use a smartphone or tablet for reporting.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional whilst working under pressure.
  • Confident in dealing with all absences, complaints, and staff welfare issues in a timely manner.
  • Ensure operational requirements and service level agreements are met through all aspects of the Security, as well as supporting local Area Manager.
  • Experience in similar roles desirable with a minimum of 1 year’s management/Team Leader/Supervisor experience.
  • Ability to train and develop others.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and able to patrol on foot for long periods.
  • A proactive mind and positive attitude.
