BID Role:
- Provide a visual deterrence and presence in the allocated BID area.
- Provide excellent customer service to businesses, residents and visitors to the BID area.
- Use the Alert App and other platforms to report all activity in their BID area.
- Support the area and business within a reasonable travel distance as directed by Senior or Client Management.
- Maintain a visible, proactive, and reassuring presence in the BID area.
- Engage with businesses to communicate the work of the BID and provide advice and guidance about crime or other issues.
- Visit businesses regularly and maintain contact to offer reassurance and information.
- Support the link between the BID and local businesses.
- Report public realm issues (e.g., broken street furniture, litter) to the relevant authority.
- Identify, investigate, deter, and report on crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, BID Wardens, Area Managers, police, councils, and community partners.
- Attend meetings and complete reports related to BID activity.
- Participate in coordinated patrols of problem areas.
- Report BID information KPIs on electronic platforms and via the Alert app.
- Be friendly, approachable, and a positive presence for locals, tourists, and all persons in the area.
- Study the BID area to provide advice or assistance as needed.
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by Client or Lodge Management.
Person Specification:
- SIA Licence (CP, DS, or Security) essential.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with technology, including smartphones and tablets for reporting via the Alert and TelMe apps.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Confident in addressing issues promptly and escalating when necessary.
- Willing to work approximately 5 shifts per week, including weekends.
- Meet all operational requirements and service level agreements.
- Experience in similar roles preferred.
- Supportive team player with a proactive attitude.
- Ability to perform ongoing patrols across the BID area.
