Lodestone Recruitment is currently working with a well-established company based in Sheffield, who is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection of raw material products at the goods-in stage and following all relevant procedures.
- Movement and storage of raw materials within all relevant procedures.
- Picking raw materials for other production stages.
- Assisting with perpetual stock take as directed by the Materials Controller.
- Packing products for despatch to sub-contractor machine shops, test houses or end customer, whilst following all rules and procedures. Packing procedures include pallet loading, shrink wrapping, banding and an understanding of very high presentation standards and a good awareness of customer perceptions.
- De-burring cut products and etching, when requested to do so by supervision.
- Operation of overhead cranes.
- Operation of workplace transport such as multi-directional, side-loading and counterbalance forklift trucks.
- Assist the company in developing and introducing more efficient ways of working, including new equipment and tooling.
- Working with consultants to provide accurate data and implementing 6S principles of minimizing waste in labour, material and downtime.
- Use of the Steel Manager system to move work stages on.
- Understanding and complying with workplace Health & Safety procedures including H&S at work act, LOLER and PUWER regulations, risk assessments and safe working and fire procedures.

- Good attention to detail.
- Overhead Crane experience.
- Steel Industry Experience.
- Packing Experience.
Pay & Shift Details:
- Rotating Shifts: Mornings/ Afters.
- Days: Monday - Friday, 06:00 to 14:30.
- Afters: Monday - Thursday, 13:00 to 23:00.
- £27,560 Per Annum (Paid at £530 per week).
Benefits:
- Generous Bonus Schemes.
- Free Employee Ownership Trust shares after 6 Months of employment.
- 25 Days Annual leave (33 total).
- Company Pension: Employer contributes 7.5%, Employee Contributes 0.5%.
- Overtime available at T1/2 (Mon - Sat) T2 (Sundays).
