Are you an apprentice trained or time-served Plater welder? Have you got previous experience of production based welding on medium to heavy engineering projects welding mild steel up to 50ml? Have you worked on big structural, defence, oil and gas, subsea, nuclear or similar projects? If this is you, please read below as we have an excellent opportunity in Sheffield!
Lodestone Recruitment are currently working in partnership with our client in Sheffield who have a requirement for a Plater welder. They have undergone big growth, have an excellent reputation and some great benefits on offer for the successful candidate!
Candidates should have the following experience to be considered for the role:
- Apprentice trained Plater Welder
- Welded Mild Steel as a priority, Stainless or other materials like Carbon or Hardox
- Experience in production based welding and fabrication work
- Experience in MIG welding
- Ideally worked to coded standards and welded 10mm fillet to 30mm multi runs as well as v-butt welds to high standard
- Experience in Nuclear would be ideal, but backgrounds in Defence, Military, Oil and Gas, Subsea, Offshore or heavy structural steel projects would be considered
The offer for the role of Plater Welder:
- Salary £39k/annum - £20 per hour (start £18/hr for first 3 months)
- Hours - 7:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5hrs/week)
- Overtime paid at T1/2
- Permanent position from day one
- Holidays - 25 days plus stats
- Pension - Excellent pension 10% contribution from company/5% from employee
