Lodestone Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a manufacturing business for an EHS Manager to take ownership of environment, health and safety standards across the site.
The Role
You'll be accountable for the effective application of the company's EHS model and group standards, ensuring procedures and documentation stay current and the business meets its statutory and moral EHS obligations. You'll provide visible EHS leadership, oversee risk assessments, audits, investigations and training, and empower colleagues through coaching and education. You'll also support EHS and ESG reporting and drive continuous improvement in line with the company's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive proactive EHS management, including hazard containment, risk assessments and Job Safety Observations
- Own the audit structure and JSO schedule
- Investigate accidents, near misses and security breaches, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Lead EHS engagement campaigns and awareness talks
- Audit and improve EHS documentation, reporting findings to management
- Deliver EHS training and maintain the annual EHS goals diary
- Collate site data for EHS and ESG reporting
- Liaise with regulators (Local Authority, HSE) to support compliance.
