Lodestone Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Product Quality Engineer to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer supplying high-performance gears and gearboxes to industries including motorsport, aerospace, marine and heavy equipment. This is a hands-on quality role with leadership responsibility, overseeing inspection activities and ensuring the highest standards across precision-machined components.
The Role
- Lead and support a small inspection team
- Program and operate CMM/GMM measurement equipment
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections
- Investigate non-conformances and quality issues
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with CMM programming and dimensional inspection
- Strong ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances
- Background in precision machining or complex engineered components
- Previous experience supporting or leading quality inspection teams
