About Us:

Locus Lock is an innovative startup developing software-defined positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) technology for defense and commercial applications. Our software enables resilient navigation across ground, aerial, maritime, and space-based platforms, helping customers operate in GPS-denied and contested environments.

We work with leading aerospace and defense companies, U.S. government organizations, and commercial partners to build the next generation of navigation technology. As an early-stage company, every employee has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the direction and success of the business.

Role Description:

In this role, you will own product sales from initial customer engagement through close and help build a repeatable, reliable, and scalable sales pipeline. Reporting to the Defense Growth & Strategy Lead, you will focus primarily on growing direct product sales to engineers and technical teams through disciplined sales execution, while supporting the team’s larger defense pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

New Business Development

  • Identify, prospect, and engage potential customers to generate new opportunities for Locus Lock’s products.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Locus Lock’s technology to assess customer needs, communicate product capabilities and limitations, and engage confidently with technical buyers.
  • Build customer relationships, understand their applications and technical requirements, and identify where Locus Lock’s technology provides value.
  • Lead customer discovery, product demonstrations, and technical presentations, translating complex technical concepts into clear value for engineering and business audiences.
  • Own sales opportunities from initial qualification through demonstrations, proposals, quotes, negotiation, and close.
  • Build and manage a repeatable sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up, clear next actions, and consistent opportunity progression.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales performance, including pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales cycle timing.
  • Develop reusable sales materials and improve sales processes to increase efficiency, conversion, and revenue growth.

Strategic Pursuits

  • Collaborate with the Defense Growth & Strategy Lead to identify and advance priority accounts, strategic partnerships, and larger-scale sales opportunities.
  • Support customer and partner engagement through research, relationship development, meeting preparation and follow-up.
  • Coordinate proposal development, including customer requirements, schedules, technical inputs, reviews, and submissions.
  • Draft customer-facing proposals and responses, working with field engineering and the broader engineering team to ensure technical accuracy.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering, applications engineering, technical sales, or related roles, including at least 2 years with direct responsibility for developing and closing sales opportunities for technical products.
  • Technical foundation in GNSS/PNT, RF, navigation, embedded systems, or a related field, with the ability to understand customer requirements and explain product capabilities and limitations to engineering audiences.
  • Experience working within a structured sales process and contributing improvements to customer-facing materials, sales workflows, or pipeline management practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including delivering demonstrations, preparing proposals, and collaborating with engineering to communicate technical concepts accurately.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple customer opportunities, coordinate internal contributors and drive timely follow-through.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools for maintaining accurate customer records and managing a sales pipeline.
  • Willingness to work onsite in Westminster, Colorado, and travel for customer meetings and industry events.

Preferred

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, autonomy or adjacent technical industries.
  • Experience coordinating proposals with multiple technical and business contributors.
  • Familiarity with Linux, command-line tools, or basic scripting for product configuration and demonstrations.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package combining salary and equity.
  • Comprehensive benefits including health insurance, dental, 401(k), paid vacation, paid sick leave and paid holidays.
  • Be part of a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Opportunity for growth and impact in an early-stage startup setting.

Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 annual salary + stock options + benefits.

Join us in shaping the future of resilient navigation technology. If you’re excited about working with technical customers, building strong relationships and helping bring innovative products to defense applications, we’d love to hear from you.
