About Loctax: Loctax is a tax technology company. We build software for tax professionals at large multinationals and advisory firms — helping them with tax research, compliance, risk and governance management across all the jurisdictions they operate in. Founded in 2020, Loctax was acquired by Tax Systems in 2025 and is now part of the UK’s leading corporate tax software group, trusted by thousands of tax and finance professionals. Together with Tax Systems, we are building the very first Tax Operating System — one AI-powered platform where global tax professionals can research, comply, and make decisions without switching between a dozen disconnected tools. This is an early and pivotal moment in that journey.
The Opportunity: This is not a role for someone who needs a fully paved road. You will work directly with our Co-founder, GTM Engineer, BDRs, Sales Director, and Account Executives — and you will own pipeline generation from first touch through to qualified meeting. The BDR team is small and there’s no fully built playbook that can be handed to you. The upside is real, and so is the expectation. You will have direct influence on how we build our market presence from the ground up. Your work is visible, your impact is immediate, and the role grows with you. There are plenty of opportunities to step into an AE role within 12 months after starting, or switch to something else if you’d like. This role suits someone who thrives in incomplete information, makes sharp decisions with what they have, and consistently finds a way to overachieve — not because they were told to, but because that is simply how they operate.
What You’ll Do:
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Build and work a targeted account list of multinational companies across key European markets. Run outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone — personalised to the prospect, not templated. Follow up on inbound leads and event contacts quickly and with purpose. Run discovery calls to qualify opportunities and understand what is actually driving the prospect’s interest. Get in front of senior buyers — Head of Tax, VP Tax, CFO — and earn their attention with sharp, relevant outreach. Keep the CRM clean and your pipeline honest. Hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives with full context — not just a name and a company.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Share what you’re hearing from prospects with the product and customer success teams — we actually use that feedback. Help position Loctax clearly and credibly in every prospect interaction.
- Continuous Learning & Process Improvement: Get deep on the product and the space — you do not need a tax background, but you need to want to understand it. Help build the sales playbook — you are joining early enough to shape how things are done. Bring a positive, high-energy approach — things will not always be straightforward, and that is part of what makes it interesting.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: 1+ years of BDR or SDR experience in B2B SaaS or professional services. Comfortable in a metrics-driven environment — and more importantly, comfortable holding yourself to a higher standard than the metrics require. A track record of overachievement — we want to know what drove it, not just that it happened.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong written and verbal communication in English. Comfortable making a high volume of cold calls and handling objections without losing your cool. Confident across email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach. High agency — you do not wait to be told what to do next. You identify the gap, form a view, and move. Comfortable working with incomplete information — you make reasonable assumptions, act on them, and course-correct rather than waiting for perfect clarity. Sharp enough to research a senior buyer, understand their business, and write outreach that is actually relevant to them. Organised enough to run a full pipeline without being micromanaged.
- Bonus Skills: Experience with AI-driven outreach and automation tools (Lemlist, n8n, Clay, Claude Code or similar). Experience doing detailed account research and qualification at scale using AI tools. Familiarity with sales triggers and intent signals to sharpen outreach timing and lift conversion rates.
- Mindset & Motivation: You hold yourself to a higher standard than the one set for you. You are energised by ambiguity, not slowed down by it. You want to understand the business, not just your quota — and you use that understanding to work smarter. Excited by a role where the rules are still being written and your contributions shape how things are done.
What we offer: Annual leave - enhanced holiday plus any local public holidays. Birthday day off. Competitive salary. Top tech gear. Learning budget. Bi-annual team offsites.
