Our client, an established environmental consultancy based in Worthing, is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their growing team. The practice is a provider of ecological professional and technical support services for development projects to the private sector, local and central government. They provide expert advice on ecological assessment to ensure that their clients clearly understand the impacts of ecological value and potential within the planning system and development practice.
About the role:
- Conduct ecology desk studies and contribute to ecological report writing.
- Carry out Preliminary Ecological Appraisals (PEAs).
- Assist with bat roost assessments and activity surveys.
- Undertake Phase 2 protected species and habitat surveys, which may include:
- Participate in a range of ecological site work, including mitigation, monitoring, and habitat assessments.
- Support the preparation of ecological deliverables such as survey reports, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support project delivery and maintain high professional standards.
About You:
- Relevant ecology qualifications or experience.
