The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Landscape Director to lead and grow a landscape architecture offer across an exciting portfolio of international projects. This is a senior leadership role that sits at the heart of the practice, working closely with architects, urban designers, and planners to deliver integrated, world-class environments. You will take creative and commercial ownership of landscape projects from inception through to delivery — directing design across multiple geographies, mentoring a talented team, and building meaningful relationships with clients worldwide. You will play a key role in winning new work, shaping design strategy, and ensuring that landscape thinking is embedded at every stage of the design process. Typical project typologies span urban masterplans, mixed-use developments, waterfront regeneration, corporate campuses, cultural institutions, and large-scale public realm, with live projects spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond.
About You
You are a highly accomplished landscape architect with a track record of delivering complex, design-led projects at an international scale. You bring both creative authority and commercial acumen, and you are as comfortable presenting to a government minister as you are reviewing technical details on site. You will likely have:
- Chartered membership of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent international qualification)
- Significant experience at director or associate director level within a multi-disciplinary practice
- A strong portfolio of delivered international projects across a range of scales and typologies
- Proven experience leading and mentoring design teams
- The ability to build and sustain client relationships across different cultural contexts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to represent the practice at the highest levels
