About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Ecology team within a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality ecological advice and services across a diverse range of projects, including residential, energy, infrastructure, and mixed-use developments.

About you:
You have 8+ years’ experience in UK ecological consultancy, mainly planning-led, with strong skills in Biodiversity Net Gain (DEFRA Metric 4.0+), EIA, and EcIA reporting. You’re confident writing reports for planning applications, mitigation, and technical chapters, with solid knowledge of UK and Scottish planning systems.
You’ve led projects and teams, hold protected species licences (e.g., bats, GCN, dormouse), and are a Full CIEEM member working toward chartership. Experience in urban, residential, and renewable projects is important, and knowledge of GIS and natural capital is a plus.
