About the Company

Locri is an independent recruitment consultancy that partners with ambitious people and businesses across the built and natural environment. We work closely with architecture practices, design studios, planning consultancies, and environmental specialists to help them grow their teams and shape the future of the spaces we live, work and build in.

We’re not a corporate machine. We’re a small, values-led company with a simple aim: Good People. That means long-term relationships, sector insight, and a flexible model that supports the lives we want to build, for ourselves and for our clients.

About the Role

We’re currently looking for a new consultant to join our Nature Pod, working across roles in ecology, sustainability, biodiversity, environmental planning and more. This hire will have the chance to take on a desk with active client demand and huge growth potential.

You don’t need to come from a recruitment background; you might be an ecologist, environmental engineer, or designer looking for a new challenge. What’s essential is that you’re resilient, proactive, and excited about building relationships in a fast-moving, purposeful industry.

You’ll work closely with the Locri team to:

  • Build and nurture a network of candidates across your specialist area
  • Identify and engage potential clients through intelligent outreach
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from first contact to placement
  • Contribute to content, market insight and broader team development

Our model is simple: you keep 80% of what you bill. There’s no base salary, but there is total flexibility, full support, and genuine opportunity to earn more than at most recruitment firms, if you’re committed to building something.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Curious, personable, and people-focused
  • Confident communicating with senior-level professionals
  • Organised and self-directed; able to take ownership and drive their own success
  • Resilient and consistent, especially during the early build-up phase
  • Interested in the built or natural environment and the future of our cities and ecosystems
  • Excited about the potential of a high-earning, flexible model, and realistic about what it takes to make it work

What we Offer

  • Uncapped earnings – you keep 80% of what you bill, with no thresholds, limits, or hidden catches
  • Tailored training and support – from day one you’ll have access to external recruitment coaching, in-house mentoring, and a team of experienced consultants who want you to succeed
  • A model built on trust and freedom – we don’t believe in micromanagement. You’ll have the autonomy to build your desk your way, with the backing of people who’ve done it before
  • A meaningful market – we work in sectors that are shaping the future: urban planning, architecture, design, ecology, sustainability and more.
  • A culture that prioritises people – we focus on long-term relationships, not KPIs. Our brand stands for integrity, trust, and expert advice, not transactional recruitment

If this sounds like it could be a fit, we’d love to chat. Reach out for an informal, 100% confidential conversation and we’ll tell you more.
