About the Role

As a Senior Ecologist, you will play a key role in delivering ecological projects while helping to develop the company's ornithology services. You will lead bird surveys and assessments, manage projects and client relationships, provide technical input across planning and consenting processes, and support the development of junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading ecological projects from inception to completion.
  • Designing and delivering ornithological survey programmes.
  • Producing and reviewing technical reports and assessments.
  • Managing clients, budgets and project programmes.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior ecologists.
  • Contributing to the growth of the ecology team and ornithology offering.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Ecology or a related discipline.
  • 6+ years' ecological consultancy experience.
  • Strong ecological knowledge with a demonstrable ornithology specialism.
  • Experience delivering bird surveys, impact assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Strong report writing, project management and client-facing skills.
  • CIEEM membership preferred.
  • Full UK driving licence.
