Urgently looking for a Principal Designer (Building Regulations) Full time London. We are looking for an experienced Principal Designer with Building Regulations capability to complement and manage the design and delivery of large scale office/workspace commercial and mixed-use developments.
The role will suit someone with a background in Architecture, Engineering, Design, Health and Safety and/or Project Management. The PD(BR) role centres on planning, managing, coordinating and monitoring Building Regulations compliance and could suit a wide range of candidates including experienced technical architects or architectural technologists, candidates with a design management or plans checking background and/or candidates with experience delivering Principal Designer services under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
If you have over 8 years experience of project delivery as Principal Designer, demonstrable experience leading and/or managing design development, including Building Regulations compliance, Health and Safety Planning:
- Planning, managing, monitoring, and coordinating health and safety aspects of the pre-construction phase.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation.
- Pre-Construction Information: Helping gather and provide relevant pre-construction information to designers and contractors.
- Health and Safety File.
- Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM Regulations).
- Liaison with Principal Contractor.
