I'm currently working with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy looking to grow its ecology team in Scotland. About the Role

As a Principal Ecologist, you'll lead ecological projects from planning through to construction, providing technical leadership whilst managing client relationships and mentoring junior team members. You'll work across a varied portfolio of projects, including infrastructure, renewables and residential developments, with the opportunity to influence both project delivery and the continued growth of the ecology team.

About You

  • Significant consultancy experience within ecology
  • Strong understanding of Scottish planning and environmental legislation
  • Experience leading ecological projects and managing clients
  • Expertise in at least one specialist area (e.g. ornithology, habitats, mammals or botany)
  • Full member of CIEEM (or working towards Chartership)
  • Protected species licences and ECoW experience would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence
