An established national planning and environmental consultancy is continuing to grow its North East presence and is looking to appoint an Associate or Lead Landscape Planner to support project delivery and team development. The Newcastle team is a small, collaborative multidisciplinary group working closely together on strategic development projects across infrastructure, energy and regeneration schemes. The business operates under an Employee Ownership Trust structure, creating a strong culture of shared success, long-term stability and collective accountability across the practice. The practice has a strong pipeline of work and offers an open, supportive environment where senior team members are given real responsibility and visibility.
This is a key senior appointment within the regional team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of landscape planning delivery and help shape the future growth of the function locally. You will be responsible for:
- Leading LVIA and landscape planning inputs across complex development schemes
- Providing strategic landscape advice to internal teams and external clients
- Managing projects including programme, resourcing and technical quality
- Acting as landscape lead within multidisciplinary teams
- Supporting public inquiry work and stakeholder engagement where required
- Mentoring junior team members and contributing to team development
- Supporting business development and client relationship management
This role offers strong exposure to nationally significant and regionally important projects.
About you:
- Degree qualified in Landscape Architecture or related field
- Chartered or working towards Chartership
- Strong consultancy experience delivering LVIA and landscape planning work
- Comfortable managing projects and client relationships
- Experience working within multidisciplinary environments
- Strong report writing and technical judgement
- Interest in contributing to regional team growth
