An established planning and environmental consultancy with a strong national presence is looking to grow its landscape design capability. The practice works across major infrastructure, energy, regeneration and environmental projects, providing integrated design and planning services to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Their landscape team plays a key role in supporting multidisciplinary delivery, particularly through masterplanning, landscape mitigation and technical design input on large scale infrastructure schemes.
About the role
This is a strategic Design Lead position within the landscape team, focused on managing and developing a portfolio of landscape design projects across multiple sectors and scales. You will lead projects from early concept and masterplanning stages through to technical delivery and implementation on site, while also helping to strengthen the existing design team and grow the wider client base. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with planning and engineering colleagues on major infrastructure schemes, including projects involving environmental mitigation and flood defence design.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading landscape design projects through all work stages
- Managing programme, budget and quality delivery
- Supporting team development and mentoring junior staff
- Building strong relationships with clients and internal teams
- Contributing to business development and growth of the design offer
About you
- Chartered Landscape Architect
- Strong experience delivering landscape design across concept to construction
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver to programme and budget
- Experience or understanding of Environment Agency projects would be beneficial
