We’re looking for a Product Owner to help shape and deliver player experiences for Avakin Life using AI-first product workflows. This role sits at the heart of cross-functional squads, working closely with Design, Engineering, Analytics, and Commercial Teams to improve core player journeys, LiveOps systems, monetisation features, and internal product processes through the practical use of AI tools and experimentation.
This is not a strategy-only role. We’re looking for someone hands-on, delivery-focused, and highly collaborative — someone who can move quickly from idea to execution, using AI tools to improve decision-making, product velocity, and player outcomes. The successful candidate will combine strong product ownership fundamentals with modern AI-assisted workflows, helping teams prioritise effectively, validate ideas rapidly, and ship value continuously.
Key Responsibilities- Product Strategy & Delivery
- Own and prioritise the product backlog across features, LiveOps initiatives, and player experience improvements
- Translate business goals, player needs, and product strategy into actionable development plans
- Work closely with Engineering and Design teams to deliver high-impact features efficiently
- Ensure sprint goals and roadmap priorities remain aligned with commercial and engagement objectives
- AI-First Product Execution
- Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, and analytics copilots to accelerate product workflows
- Generate and refine user stories, documentation, requirements, and experimentation plans using AI-assisted processes
- Support rapid prototyping and validation of product ideas
- Continuously identify opportunities where AI can improve team efficiency, product quality, and player outcomes
- Experimentation & Optimisation
- Drive data-informed product decisions using analytics, player insight, and A/B testing
- Monitor and optimise KPIs including engagement, retention, conversion, and monetisation
- Support iterative feature development rather than large one-off releases
- Collaborate with analytics teams to identify opportunities for growth and optimisation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, QA, Analytics, and Commercial teams
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
- Communicate priorities, trade-offs, and delivery status clearly to stakeholders
- Help align teams around measurable outcomes and player impact
- Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in games, mobile apps, or live-service products
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
- Experience managing product backlogs, roadmaps, and sprint planning
- Understanding of free-to-play (F2P) mechanics, LiveOps, and monetisation systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, or similar
- Ability to use AI to accelerate product planning, documentation, ideation, and workflow efficiency
- Experience leveraging AI for rapid iteration, experimentation, and insight generation
- Strong understanding of how AI can improve product development processes and team velocity
- Strong prioritisation and decision-making skills
- Data-informed product thinking
- Excellent stakeholder communication
- Outcome-focused mindset balancing player experience and business goals
- Ability to move quickly while maintaining quality and clarity
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset
- Ability to simplify complex problems into actionable solutions
- Comfortable working pragmatically in a fast-moving environment
- Strong collaboration skills across creative and technical disciplines
- Passion for games, player experience, and continuous improvement
- Experience in mobile games or games-as-a-service products
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Firebase, Unity Analytics, or experimentation platforms
- Experience with LiveOps, in-game economies, or retention systems
