The Lockwood Group is a dynamic, forward-thinking family run business established in 1965, employing over 350 people across 7 UK sites. Our diverse operations include UK transport, distribution and storage, frozen food production, and co-packing solutions. We are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor / Double Handler Driver to join our team at our Caldicot depot.
The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory position within a warehouse environment. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring stock is handled efficiently, and supporting the wider team to maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently
- Receive, inspect, and safely unload deliveries
- Ensure stock is stored and distributed in line with company procedures
- Oversee picking, packing, and dispatch activities with a high level of accuracy
- Delegate tasks and support the team to meet operational targets
- Operate a Double Handler FLT to support warehouse activities
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report defects
- Investigate and report damages and incidents
- Support the Depot Manager with operational needs, including covering Management absences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies at all times
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role
- Valid FLT licence (Double Handler experience preferred)
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience with warehouse systems (e.g. SAP / WMS) desirable
- A proactive, flexible approach to work
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards
