HGV Class 1 Driver (Days)
The Lockwood Group is a successful, family‑owned business that has been growing since 1965. With over 400 employees across 7 UK locations, we’ve become one of the UK’s leading names in transport, warehousing, distribution, frozen food production and co‑packing.
As our business continues to expand, we’re looking for professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern.
We’ll provide full training and support through dedicated Driver Assessors and Mentors.
Pay & Benefits
- £185.00 per shift
- Basic salary: £33,670.00 per annum
- Performance Bonus: up to £2,400 per year

The Role
- Deliver outstanding service to our customers by completing general haulage deliveries safely and efficiently
- Work 4 on/4 off day shifts
- Operate the latest driver technology, including electronic PODs and digital walk‑around checks (full training provided)
- Deliver exceptional customer service at every collection and delivery
- Maintain clear communication with our Transport Team
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, professionally and on time

What We’re Looking For
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Reliable, professional and safety‑conscious approach
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous Class 1 experience desirable, but newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply
