Warehouse Team Leader (Monday to Friday Nights)

The Lockwood Group is a dynamic, forward thinking, family run business established in 1965.

Today, we employ over 400 people across eight UK sites.

Our group activities include UK transport, distribution and storage, frozen food production and co-packing solutions.

We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader to be based at our Denby site.

Previous warehouse experience is essential, ideally with supervisory experience.

The successful candidate will have good IT skills, be self motivated and able to work on their own initiative.

As part of the role, there will be periods of independent working, with responsibility for completing office and computer-based administrative tasks alongside warehouse operations.

About the Role

This is a permanent night shift position, working Monday to Friday.

The salary starts from £12.71 per hour, with an additional 50p per hour uplift for VNA/Shunting trained operatives, plus a £50.00Team Leader bonus, paid weekly.

Overtime is paid at time and one third after 40 hours per week, and time and two thirds for Sunday working where required (in accordance with the Working Time Regulations).

You must hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence.

Counterbalance FLT, PPT and VNA licences along withshunting experience would be advantageous; however, training can be provided.

A full UK driving licence and checkable references are also required.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a Warehouse Team Leader with Lockwood Group, you will be responsible for:
  • Loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Operating handheld scanners and warehouse management systems.
  • Leading and supporting the warehouse team throughout the night shift.
  • Completing office and computer-based administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate records and updating warehouse systems.
  • Working independently to ensure the smooth and efficient running of warehouse operations.
  • Carrying out general warehouse duties as required.
  • Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
