Your Responsibilities
We are hiring for a Cyber Product and Innovation Lead – a role that will be central in shaping the future of Lockton’s cyber and technology insurance proposition. This is a strategic and high-impact position that blends product development, thought leadership, and education to enhance client solutions and reinforce Lockton’s position as a market leader in the cyber and tech insurance space.
Working closely with broking, claims, and client service teams, you will be responsible for driving innovation across proprietary wordings, coverage development, and client engagement.
Lockton’s Cyber and Technology team is an established practice, trusted by clients ranging from global enterprises to fast-growing tech start-ups. Our team combines deep technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-driven approach to help clients navigate the complex and fast-changing landscape of cyber and technology risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Educational Content & Training
- Deliver internal training and knowledge-sharing sessions on coverage and policy wordings.
- Lead external client education through webinars, lunch & learns, and bespoke briefings.
- Support claims teams by guiding the interpretation and application of cyber coverage.
Thought Leadership & Market Presence
- Produce client-focused documents, white papers, and insight articles.
- Represent Lockton at speaking engagements and industry events.
- Support strategies to elevate Lockton’s brand in the cyber insurance market.
Product & Coverage Development
- Lead the annual update of Lockton’s proprietary Cyber & Technology policy wordings.
- Develop new SME-focused cyber insurance products.
- Manage ad hoc manuscript wording amendments tailored to client needs.
- Collaborate with external counsel on detailed coverage reviews.
- Negotiate bespoke coverage and policy language with insurers.
- Innovate industry-specific products, including Cyber Gap solutions across Property Damage, D&O, Marine, and other lines.
- Pioneer forward-thinking coverage enhancements that address evolving cyber and tech risks.
Qualifications
- Legal background (by qualification (degree/LPC) or experience)
- Proven experience in product development or policy wording roles within insurance essential
- Cyber insurance wordings and product expertise preferred
- Passion for client advocacy and driving product excellence in a constantly evolving cyber risk landscape
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across functions and communicate complex ideas
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including insurers, clients, and legal advisors
- A strategic thinker with a keen interest in market innovation and emerging risk
