Your Responsibilities

Lockton is recruiting an experienced Account Executive to join our Global Financial Institutions (GFI) Retail team in London in a VP-level position, in a role delivering market-leading service to Lockton’s Retail Financial Institutions (FI) clients. You will work with a diverse portfolio of Financial Institution clients, supporting programme placement for complex risks while contributing to client retention, growth and new business opportunities. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative, high-performing team of financial lines specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective placement and renewal strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for clients
  • Support the strategic management of Retail FI client accounts, delivering high standards of broking and client service
  • Advise Lockton’s Financial Institution clients in line with Lockton’s compliance framework and client-specific requirements
  • Manage and monitor your renewal portfolio, ensuring timely invitations, submissions and market engagement
  • Prepare comprehensive market submissions and liaise with insurers and clients throughout the placement process
  • Lead client calls, renewal strategy discussions, review meetings and presentations
  • Drive new business initiatives including RFP responses, proposals and client onboarding activities
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with specialist teams across Lockton to deliver holistic risk solutions
  • Resolve client and market queries efficiently and accurately, ensuring excellent service standards
  • Produce, review and execute compliant documentation including quotes, slips and related broking materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the GFI and wider Specialty team, sharing knowledge and contributing to the continued development of the Retail FI practice

Qualifications About You

  • Experience within Financial Institutions insurance broking or underwriting, with knowledge of relevant insurance markets
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – combined with strong relationship-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Passion for ongoing learning and professional development
