As Governance Manager, you will support the Head of Compliance & Governance for the Retail division with a focus on our Real Estate business. You’ll be supporting the delivery of governance, regulatory, and compliance oversight for the division, ensuring adherence to all relevant local legislation, industry standards, and internal policies and will be the initial point of contact for compliance and governance related issues from the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining compliance policies, procedures and service delivery templates that support high-quality client service.
  • Managing controls, undertaking approvals around account opening and payment transactions.
  • Review of delegated authorities, TOBAs and other client and market agreements.
  • Supporting the business in meeting their Product Governance responsibilities including Prod 4 oversight.
  • Implementing robust and effective procedures to mitigate the risk of financial crime, money laundering, bribery and corruption on our business.

You should keep on top of regulatory change and best practice so that the business stays ahead of the curve and be able to provide practical training and guidance to the business on compliance and governance matters.

Candidate Profile

About you:

  • You should have a thorough understanding of insurance policies and procedures and the regulatory framework – specific knowledge of the Real Estate environment would be beneficial.
  • Experienced in compliance, insurance operations or change management - this could have been gained whilst in another role e.g. client facing.
  • Have strong data management and IT skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Have a proactive and adaptable solution focused approach.
  • Be a confident communicator who can build trust with stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • Committed to delivering and maintaining high standards with strong organisational and analytical skills.
