We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and expert Account Executive to join our successful National Professions team. The role will primarily focus on undertaking contract reviews and providing policy wording construct and analyses for our clients and prospects. Appointment documents and collateral warranties are common in the construction sector and can contain additional terms that impose higher levels of liability which can result in a wider range of claims arising and more damaging costs being awarded against the construction or consultancies firm. At Lockton, we provide our clients with expert guidance on the exposure created under contract and provide support to address any coverage concerns.
This specialist role requires sound technical analysis and understanding of the contractual liabilities being imposed in documentation presented together with a strong commercial awareness of PII wordings to provide guidance on any coverage issues arising from the contract documents. This role can be based in London, Bristol, Manchester, or Edinburgh.
What are the typical responsibilities as an Account Executive?
- Reviewing the various contractual liability provisions in our clients’ legal agreements with third parties whilst analysing the scope of policy coverage provided.
- Responsible for clear communication with the client identifying and explaining, with appropriate sensitivity any commercial issues arising.
- Partnering with our client and account management teams providing guidance on technical coverage matters.
- Partnering with new business executives in tenders/RFPs to articulate coverage issues and provide technical input to solutions for potential clients.
- Building relationships across the Specialty business, able to offer insurance coverage advice cross class.
- Advising on policy wording queries and draft endorsements to reflect coverage provided.
- Conducting reviews of Lockton manuscripted policy wordings to ensure that they remain current and relevant to satisfy the coverage requirements of our clients and prospects.
Proven experience of reviewing third party client contracts and associated documents, ascertaining coverage requirements, would be highly beneficial. Demonstrable experience and technical knowledge of Professional Indemnity insurance policies and products will be highly beneficial. Experience of reviewing insurance policy documentation including recommending, drafting or amending policy wordings will be beneficial. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be organized, proficient in using Microsoft Office and be comfortable communicating with a wide range of clients and colleagues.
