Your Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on how to improve their defensibility against personal injury/illness claims.
- Providing guidance to clients on how to positively manage regulatory visits/investigations by the HSE/Local Authority/Fire & Rescue Service.
- Helping clients to improve their H&S documentary records to put them in a better position to avoid/defend regulatory action/prosecution.
- Developing and delivering client training sessions, such as on the duties of Directors and Senior Leadership Teams, criminal/civil mock trials, accident investigation, contractor management, etc.
- Building strong working relationships with external clients and the internal client management and broking teams across the Lockton business.
- Helping to develop our Casualty consultancy services as the team continues to grow.
Qualifications:
Candidate Profile:
- A qualified lawyer or legal executive, specialising in UK personal injury/H&S law.
- Experienced in assisting clients with the defence of civil claims and/or criminal prosecutions.
- Experienced in conducting claims defensibility reviews of H&S documentation.
- Able to clearly explain legal information using plain English language.
- Confident in delivering training courses, including to C-suite audiences.
- Able to produce clear, professional reports for clients, with pragmatic recommendations.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Able to build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and third parties, and have a friendly, supportive, professional approach.
- Based in the South East / London / East Anglia / Midlands area and hold a full UK driving licence.
- Willing to travel to client sites across the UK, including overnight stays where required.
