Lockton is seeking an experienced Head of Compliance to lead our compliance team and ensure that our business meets the highest standards of regulatory compliance. If you\’re an expert in the insurance industry with a passion for navigating the complexities of the FCA, European regulations and assisting in the develop of consistent international compliance standards, whilst enabling and facilitating colleagues to do the best work possible for their clients, this is your chance to make a difference.

As the leader of the European compliance function you will be visible and have a hands on approach to partnering with the business, interpreting and advising on FCA and other regulatory requirements.

What You\’ll Do: As the Head of Compliance, you will lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals while shaping the strategic direction of the compliance function across our UK and European offices. You’ll be responsible for fostering strong relationships with key regulatory bodies, primarily the FCA, and ensuring that Lockton stays ahead of the curve on compliance and regulatory changes.

• 10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a background in insurance broking being a plus.
• Proven expertise in FCA relationship management, and a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape.
• Experience in leading and promoting teams and delivering results in high-stakes and fast growth environments.
• Strong risk management and insurance qualifications are advantageous.
• A solution-oriented and collaborative attitude with an ability to develop strong relationships, trust and respect with senior stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor.
• A can do attitude with a ‘hands on’ approach, able to balance competing objectives and priorities.
• Demonstrates sound judgement, great analytical skill set with the ability to instil trust and deliver the desired results.
• Anticipates future consequences and trends. Broad knowledge and perspective. Creates competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans.
• Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) skills. Can represent the company internally and externally with executive presence and professionalism.
