Locktel is currently recruiting for the roles of a Civils Diggers and Operatives, that will be based in Scotland Central Belt but will require being able to work across various sites in Scotland daily.
Due to the high amount of risk involved in this job, Civils Operatives must be first and foremost a responsible individual with a great attention to safety precautions. The ideal candidate must also be experienced in different kinds of groundworks.
Responsibilities
- You will take responsibility for the safety, quality and environmental elements of your work site and the welfare of your fellow employees within.
- Plan and co-ordinate site works in accordance with the instructions of the client and the Operations Manager.
- Ensure that equipment, materials, and site arrangements are ready at the beginning of the day. You may be required to start early to organise this.
- Ensure that risk assessments are carried out daily and all safety, health & environmental requirements are undertaken to maintain a consistent, safe delivery of service.
- Experience of dealing with blockages and reinstatements.
- Make sure all excavations are at a high standard.
- Be able to excavate on different work streams.
- Responsible for producing high quality results, reports, and feedback.
- Always establish good relationships with customers or members of the public and to be able to communication and resolve issues and early resolution of any potential problems.
- You need to be flexible too weekend working and an out-of-hours working.

- K008 – (Hand rodding in the UG network)
