LOCKROSE Limited is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Planner to support the successful delivery of major Transmission & Distribution projects across the Energy sector. This is a key role focused on the strategic planning, coordination, and monitoring of complex infrastructure projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and project management to develop and maintain integrated project schedules that support operational and commercial objectives. The successful candidate will play an important role in identifying project risks, forecasting potential delays, and driving planning best practice across the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for Transmission & Distribution projects
- Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams
- Monitor project performance and update schedules to reflect changes in scope, resources, and risk
- Analyse project data to identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions
- Support effective resource planning and workflow optimisation
- Prepare and present progress reports, schedule updates, and planning analysis to stakeholders and senior management
- Lead schedule risk assessments and mitigation planning activities
- Ensure project planning activities comply with industry regulations, client requirements, and company procedures
- Support decision‑making through accurate forecasting and reporting
- Promote continuous improvement in planning processes and project controls
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in project planning within the Transmission & Distribution sector
- Strong understanding of transmission and distribution infrastructure and associated regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience managing complex project schedules across multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
