Lockleaze Neighbourhood Trust is looking for someone with a deep understanding of charity and social enterprise finance who can help us grow as a professional organisation. You will manage all LNT finances from banking, invoicing and payments, to end of year reporting and funding management. You will also have a strategic overview of our financial strategy, and work closely with our CEO and Board of Trustees on LNT’s financial planning.
Importantly, you will be passionate about communities in general and Lockleaze in particular, and be able to work at a strategic level across our projects whilst also working flexibly within a small organisation where we all muck in. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as this is the first time we’ve had four year funding for the work we do. That work will include:
- The development and set up of new community spaces including our new Cameron Centre community centre and a possible new Lockleaze Community Garden;
- The setting up of our new Lockleaze Together project which builds on our existing community support work, creating community power and engaging the knowledge and talents of our community through our Community Ideal asset-based project;
- The second stage of Really Wild Lockleaze our urban rewilding project and being part of the city-wide Community Climate Action project and Nature Together project;
- Two complicated community-led housing projects creating affordable social rent homes for Lockleaze residents; our ongoing commitment to our Local Lettings Policy and fairly shared housing.

We are looking for someone with:
- Strong experience in financial management in a charity context.
- An understanding of basic HR processes and impact data collection.
- A passion for working with communities and working flexibly in a small community-led team.
- Experience of working in partnership to create thriving places and support people.
- Commitment to an inclusive Lockleaze and an inclusive LNT.
Hours: 22.5 hours a week / three days a week (0.6 FTE). The postholder may be expected to attend meetings and events out of office hours to represent Lockleaze Neighborhood Trust.
Contract term: Permanent
Location: Hybrid working negotiable but we would hope some time in office to keep in touch with the team - team meetings are currently Thursday mornings.
Salary: Approx £35,639 pro rata from April 2026 (ie Approx £21.383 0.6 FTE). Aligns with SCP 23 on the NJC Payscale
Reporting to: Chief Executive
Holiday entitlement: 20 days FTE pro rata (rising to 25 days after 5 years) + bank holidays and generous Christmas allowance.
