We are looking for fun, kind, enthusiastic Games Masters to bring fun and adventure to our Escape Game players at weekends, and for some weekdays during school holidays. You will get to interact with players in character, such as a lovable but slightly mad scientist, a mysterious Secret Agent, or a dashing explorer. Full training will be provided.
You must be reliable, kind, and treat people around you fairly, respectfully and without discrimination, and most importantly you must be nice. We only have nice people working here.
Lockhouse Games is a rapidly growing premium Escape Game company located at 70 Regent Street, Cambridge. We have a new branch and property expansion which is now open, with two brand new state of the art rooms and one more game to open there soon. This gives opportunities for development and promotion for our team members. Our customers get the most exciting hour in Cambridge with Europe-leading Escape Games and our shop/play area. We believe that play is for adults and children alike. To make this possible we keep a highly motivated jolly team who work hard and play hard. We are No.1 on Trip Advisor for Fun and Games in Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers
- Briefing and debriefing customers in an entertaining way before and after their Escape Room session
- Watching Escape Room customers on CCTV and delivering hints when necessary
- Photographing customers after their Escape Game
- Taking bookings and payments (eventually)
Experience:
- Must be nice and kind
- Preferably enjoy puzzles and games
- Amateur experience in theatre or comedy is useful
- Retail or Customer Service experience is useful
- Positive, fun-loving attitude
- Great with people
- Computer and social media literacy useful
Other skills that will benefit your application: Arts, crafts, acting, all sorts of things. Whatever your skill, we can find a use for it.
What's the Package?
- Enjoyable work-day (can be up to 12/13 hours)
- £12.71 per hour (more after promotions etc)
- Starting late October and going until early January, possibly beyond if wanted
